No upload queue, no transfer time, no “processing…” spinner on someone else's machine. A typical PDF merges in about a second — even on slow hotel Wi-Fi, because the Wi-Fi isn't involved.

With no servers crunching files, running Fileloka costs very little — so nothing is locked behind a paywall. One clearly-marked ad covers the bills. No watermarks, no daily limits, no “Pro” nag.
Fair questions
Are my files really private?
Yes — and you can verify it yourself. Open your browser's developer tools (F12 → Network tab) while using any tool: you'll see no file upload requests. You can even load this page, switch off your internet, and every file tool still works. Files are read into your browser's memory, processed there, and gone when you close the tab.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no artificial limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory — most phones and laptops handle files up to roughly 100 MB comfortably. Very large scanned PDFs may take longer on older devices, since your device is doing the actual work.
Why is it free? What's the catch?
There's no catch to hide: because processing happens on your device, our hosting costs are tiny, and a single ad placement covers them. Every tool is fully functional — no watermarks, no daily caps, no features held hostage.
Do you collect any data?
No accounts, no tracking pixels, and no analytics by default. If ads are shown, the ad network may set its own cookies — that's disclosed in the privacy note below, and it never involves your files, which stay on your device.
Can I use it for work or clients?
Absolutely — personal and commercial use are both fine. Because files never leave your device, Fileloka is also a safer pick for confidential documents like contracts, IDs and invoices.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Not yet. Encrypted PDFs are skipped with a clear message rather than processed half-right. Support for unlocking files you own is on the roadmap.
