How small will my PDF get?
It depends on what's inside. Scanned or image-heavy PDFs often shrink 50–90% in Strong mode. Already-efficient, text-only PDFs may barely change — the tool tells you honestly instead of inflating numbers.
What's the difference between Balanced and Strong?
Balanced rewrites the file structure and keeps text selectable and searchable. Strong re-renders each page as a compressed JPEG — much smaller, but text can no longer be selected. Use Balanced for documents you'll edit or search, Strong for archiving and sending.
Will my PDF still be readable after compression?
Yes — you control the quality slider in Strong mode, and the default keeps documents comfortably readable on screen and in print.
Is it safe to compress confidential PDFs here?
